VOTE FOR KUWAIT’S AL JAHRA ROBOTIC PARKING SYSTEM FOR 2018 WORLD’S COOLEST CAR PARKS

The Robotic Parking System built for Al Jahra Court Complex in Kuwait is one of ten on the global shortlist for the World’s Coolest Car Parks competition for 2018 (#WCCP18).

With 2,314 spaces, the Robotic Parking System at Al Jahra holds the Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Automated Parking Facility’.

Martin Mansell, Managing Director of Looking4.com and one of the awards judges, said: “Our top ten demonstrate imagination, innovation and inspiration from architects around the globe, buildings we’d be happy queuing to park our cars in – we look forward to seeing which the public vote as the world’s coolest car park.”

Sophie Killip at DesignCurial and fellow judge, said: “As a design-led website, we were particularly interested in how the architects had used the space in intriguing and clever ways, challenging the traditional view of car parks and transforming the buildings into something exciting.”

We would love to have your vote for Kuwait’s Al Jahra Court Robotic Parking System. Voting ends on 30 June. VOTE HERE!

Robotic Parking Systems Inc Sets NEW Guinness World Record

Robotic Parking Systems Guinness World Record

It became official in 2018. For the second time a Robotic Parking Systems’ facility was awarded the Guinness World Record for the Largest Automated Parking Facility in the world – 2,314 spaces.

Robotic Parking Systems was contracted for the design, manufacture of the machinery and automation, installation, start up of operations and maintenance for a 2,314 space automated parking facility for the Al Jahra Court Complex in Kuwait. M A Kharafi was the general contractor on this project for Amiri Diwan of Kuwait – the office of the Amir of Kuwait.

This facility was designed as a combination of 684 concrete ramp parking spaces with 2314 automated spaces on top. The Robotic Parking System provides almost 3.5 times the number of parking spaces in approximately the same volume.

ROBOTIC PARKING SYSTEM VERIFIED AS HIGHEST THROUGHPUT CAPACITY IN THE AUTOMATIC PARKING INDUSTRY
“The peak traffic throughput measurement is much more critical in the day to day operations of an automated garage than a single vehicle retrieval time.”

TRAFFIC FLOW AND LIVE TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
The Robotic Parking System controls the Entry / Exit Terminals according to live traffic conditions outside the garage.

INTEGRATION WITH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES IN TRANSPORTATION
Based on our discussions with leading companies, one element has become very clear – emerging transportation technologies require that the garage of the future must be smart!

Robotic Parking System Verified as Highest Throughput Capacity in the Automatic Parking Industry

Robotic Parking System at Al Jahra, KuwaitRobotic Parking Systems Inc., a Pinellas Park, Florida based company, announced the successful throughput testing of its recently completed 2,350 capacity Al Jahra Court Automatic Parking System in Kuwait. TÜV Nord certified a peak traffic throughput capacity of 425 cars per hour. Throughput capacity is the total number of cars per hour that can be handled in a combination of inbound and outbound vehicle traffic. Additionally, the average retrieval time for a single vehicle was verified as 177 seconds.

“The peak traffic throughput measurement is much more critical in the day to day operations of an automated garage than a single vehicle retrieval time. No other manufacturer in the automatic parking industry has this level of performance verification by an independent third party. We met and exceeded the contractual performance requirements of 400 cars per hour throughput and single retrieval time of 220 seconds,” said Royce Monteverdi, CEO of Robotic Parking Systems Inc.

With this record, Robotic Parking Systems has positioned itself not only as the largest automatic parking facility in the world but also as the manufacturer with the highest peak traffic capacity worldwide. The Al Jahra Court facility surpasses the Emirates Financial Tower garage in Dubai (designed and manufactured by Robotic Parking Systems) that achieved the Guinness World Record as the largest automatic garage with 1,200 parking spaces in 2011.

Juergen Bauer, Chairman of Robotic Parking Systems Inc., emphasized “Robotic Parking Systems has demonstrated the viability of its patented lift-and-run system over and over again. Today, with more than 5,000 units built, the company is the strongest market participant in the Western Hemisphere and perfectly positioned for the North American market. With its latest adaptation to emerging technologies – CASE: Connectivity, Autonomous Driving, Sharing and Services and Electrification – Robotic Parking Systems is well aligned with Smart City applications.”
