Robotic Parking Systems Inc Sets NEW Guinness World Record

Robotic Parking Systems Guinness World Record

It became official in 2018. For the second time a Robotic Parking Systems’ facility was awarded the Guinness World Record for the Largest Automated Parking Facility in the world – 2,314 spaces.

Robotic Parking Systems was contracted for the design, manufacture of the machinery and automation, installation, start up of operations and maintenance for a 2,314 space automated parking facility for the Al Jahra Court Complex in Kuwait. M A Kharafi was the general contractor on this project for Amiri Diwan of Kuwait – the office of the Amir of Kuwait.

This facility was designed as a combination of 684 concrete ramp parking spaces with 2314 automated spaces on top. The Robotic Parking System provides almost 3.5 times the number of parking spaces in approximately the same volume.

This Robotic Parking System was designed for an extremely small site next to the Traders Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

All of the automation and machinery was built by Robotic Parking Systems and shipped to the job site in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, building permits for the automated parking system and its structure have been granted. However, current economic conditions have caused the completion of this project to be postponed.

Robotic Parking Systems Projects – Part 5 – EFT, Dubai, UAE

EFT, Dubai, UAE — 1200 Spaces — Turnkey design contract and delivery of machinery for a 1200 space Robotic Parking System for the Emirates Financial Tower in Dubai, UAE.

Robotic Parking Systems EFT Project

Robotic Parking System was contracted for the design and build of this 1,200 space automated parking facility. The system design was inserted between the concrete structure of the above towers.

Based on the company’s experience and discussions with UAE Civil Defense, a new Civil Defense Code for robotic parking was developed and serves as a guideline for future projects in the region. This new Civil Defense Code acknowledges and takes into consideration the work achieved by the Technical Committee of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 88A). Robotic Parking System’s CEO is a member of NFPA’s Committe for Garages and Parking Structures.

Robotic Parking Systems delivered the automation and machinery components and supervised the local installation.

Robotic Parking Systems Projects – Part 4 – Ibn Battuta Gate, Dubai, UAE

Ibn Battuta Gate, Dubai, UAE — 765 Spaces — Turnkey system design, start up of operations and maintenance for a 765 space automatic parking garage for the Ibn Battuta Gate project in Dubai, UAE. Operations started in August 2009.

This robotic parking facility is a designed and built project. It is the first automated parking garage in the Middle East region.

Permits for this stand-alone garage were obtained in 2007. The automated car park was constructed in 2008 and officially opened on August 12th 2009.

We believe that this facility is the world’s first and only automated parking garage that had pre-opening performance tests conducted that proved peak traffic handling of more than 250 cars per hour.

The owner, Seven Tides Limited, entered into an operating and maintenance agreement with Robotic Parking Systems who continues its operation to date.

As of 2011, this robotic garage is the only automated car park in the Middle East region that has a continuous operations track record of more than two years.

The automated parking garage for the Hollywood Grande project was completely designed and incorporated into the developer’s plans for a condominium hotel adjacent to the beaches on the east coast of Florida.

The machinery was built and building permits obtained. Unfortunately, the real estate crash and economic downturn in 2008 and 2009 brought this project to a stop.

Pinellas Park, Florida – 114 Spaces — Designed, built and have been operating a 114 space Robotic Parking System in Pinellas Park, Florida since 2006. This robotic parking garage serves as the company’s research, development and testing facility.

Robotic Parking Systems, Inc. manufacturers its machinery from raw steel to finished product using off-the-shelf, high-quality electrical and mechanical components with L10 lifetimes of 40,000 hours or above. As part of its strategic partnership with Robotic Parking Systems, General Electric supplies all motors, electronics and automation controls for the company’s automated garages.

All of the automated parking machinery produced in the Clearwater, Florida factory undergo a 24 hour stress test and certification before being shipped to a job site. Rigorous quality control procedures are followed to ensure the flawless operation of the machinery and equipment being implemented in the field.
